I need some help.

So I'm looking into getting a new laptop, and I was wondering what to get... I don't care really about the price. I'd like an high-end one, I'm sick really of crappy ones. I care too much about the screen and it being a 17".

I can't decide whether to get an Macbook Pro or an HP. I don't really design much, just play around with Photoshop ever once in a while. I like to game, but not much either. I might as well be joining an IT college soon, so I'm sure if at that time a Macbook Pro will be useful. I never had a Mac.

Any other thoughts?
Help appreciated.
